
Mehmet Babacan

Mehmet Babacan is a PhD Candidate and Project Assistant on the YOK 100/2000 Doctoral Scholarship Programme at Bursa Uludag University in the International Relations Department. His work specialises on the Middle East region and Israel-Palestine relations including "Jerusalem". After finishing his bachelor’s degree in the Sakarya University International Relations department, he completed his Master's degree at Mustafa Kemal University. Babacan has been working on and publishing various articles, chapters, and full-texts in his field of expertise (Middle East, Israel, and Turkish Foreign Policy and Regional Policy) since 2018 which have been presented in national and international conferences. He is now preparing his PhD thesis. With experience in private sector organisations (including in the positions of "expert" and "trainer"), Babacan taught foreign language to students in high schools as a "temporary teacher". He completed his military service in Cyprus/TRNC between 2013 and 2014.
